About us

Light in the World Development Foundation
We are an organization that works with communities and institutions in North America, Europe and Africa to remove obstacles that hinder development in West Africa and especially in Togo. Our intent is to give African children a brighter future and existence than the one they have known. The organization has focused its activities on education, healthcare and agriculture. It is headquartered in Tulsa Oklahoma and has chapters across North America, Europe and Africa.

Light in the World Development Foundation, USA
In the year 2011 Light in the World Development Foundation (L.W.D.F.) was founded as a non-profit-organization in Tulsa, Oklahoma, USA. Whereas the aid of L.W.D.F. Germany is confined to Africa the target groups of the american branch also comprise backward and under served areas in the USA.

Light in the world Development Foundation, Germany
The German branch of (L.W.D.F.) came into being in 2013, at first under the name DGAO (Developpement Global de l'Afrique Occidentale = Globale Entwicklung West-Afrika). Later by the consideration that one organization should not act under different names, the name of the american organization was taken over for Germany as well. The aid provided by Germany is confined to Africa.

Mission Statement
